Charlie Kelly, Certified Prosthetist

My goal as a Prosthetist is to improve the quality of life for the people I work with. I have a passion for the field and love using the newest and most innovative products in my designs. My career began as a personal trainer. I spent five years working for a large fitness company as a Fitness Manager and trainer. I was able to create a degree program that encompassed all of the areas I was passionate about. It had a focus in Human Performance in Sport, Industrial Design, Anatomy and Entrepreneurial Business. I graduated with the degree of Anatomical Equipment design in 2009. I then took a year to discover which direction I wanted to go with this focused degree. In 2010, I embarked on the adventure of attending Prosthetics & Orthotics school at California State University Dominguez Hills. I quickly discovered I was meant to be a Prosthetist. All of the professional and personal choices I made in my life up until that point pointed to the field. I completed my residency for both Prosthetics and Orthotics at the Veterans Affairs in Long Beach, California. I have worked for two small family owned practices. With the help and support of peers in the field and family, I have started Anchor Orthotics & Prosthetics By the Bay. It is my goal to assist you in attaining all of the goals you set out to do. Please email me at and I will be happy to discuss your future goals relating to prosthetics and maximizing the benefits of your prosthetic!

Jennifer Jacobs Kelly, Office Manager

Hello! Welcome to Anchor Orthotics & Prosthetics By the Bay. My name is Jennifer Jacobs Kelly.

I come to Anchor Orthotics & Prosthetics By the Bay with over 15 years of healthcare experience. I began working with individuals living with different abilities in high school where I was part of an adapted aquatics program that taught special needs children how to swim. It was there I discovered a passion to help people in trying situations live better and aligned my education and career goals accordingly. In 1995, I set out for the University of New Hampshire to begin an education in Recreational Management and Policy with an option in Therapeutic Recreation (aka Recreational Therapist). The main goal of Recreational Therapy is to work with people to get them back to their preferred leisure activities after a traumatic accident or illness. I have worked in a variety of settings, including; Home Care, Group Homes and Psychiatry, Alzheimer’s and Dementia. I am excited to bring my knowledge and expertise to Anchor By the Bay as an Office Manager. I also hope to bring some enjoyment to the field by planning support and activity groups. Feel free to email me at if you have any questions or an idea for an interesting event!
